ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW In November 2009, the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Candlestick Point-Hunters Point Shipyard Phase II Development Plan Project (aka "the Combined Project") was released by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. This important document signals a critical moment in the redevelopment of Candlestick Point and the Hunters Point Shipyard. The public comment period for the DEIR ended January 12, 2010. Check back here soon for information on the submitted comments and next steps on how to get involved.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS Prior to receiving final approval to proceed with the Combined Project, the developer and Redevelopment Agency must adopt a Community Benefits Package outlining the wide range of benefits the developer must provide to the BVHP community. The Agency and developer have produced a DRAFT community benefits plan. There is still opportunity to provide input in what goes in to the final Community Benefits Package.
